A 65-year-old St. Catherine man charged with raping a teen was granted bail within the sum of $300,000 when he appeared within the St. Catherine Parish Courtroom on Wednesday.
Lennox Jones of Man’s Hill, St. Catherine, was granted bail by Senior Parish Courtroom Choose Yvette Wentworth-Miller.
Lawyer Denise Hinson represented Jones in court docket.
As a situation of his bail, Jones is required to report back to the Gayle Police Station in St. Mary every Saturday and is scheduled to reappear in court docket on March 13, 2025.
The alleged incident occurred in Could 2024 when the 19-year-old complainant was on her solution to college in St. Catherine.
The matter was reported to the authorities in January 2025, resulting in an investigation that resulted in Jones’ arrest and subsequent cost.
