    A St James man who allegedly chopped one other man throughout a dispute over a water pipe connection was ordered on Wednesday to attend mediation periods with the complainant.

    Desmond Cameron, of a Flanker handle in St James, is charged with illegal wounding. The allegations are that on January 20, the complainant was at house when he noticed that there was no water within the pipe. When he made inquiries of his landlord, he was instructed that Cameron had disconnected the pipe. The complainant reconnected the pipe and went to work, however when he returned, he was instructed that Cameron had reduce off the pipe once more. When the complainant went to reconnect the pipe, Cameron confronted him and attacked him with a machete, wounding his finger within the course of.

    Throughout Wednesday’s court docket sitting, the complainant instructed presiding Parish Choose Kaysha Grant-Pryce that Cameron is a troublemaker.

    “Your Honour, he has been a nuisance locally. I’ve lived there for 5 years now, and he has been like that,” the complainant stated. Grant-Pryce advised mediation which the complainant initially refused, searching for compensation for his damage. Grant-Pryce persevered, and subsequently made a mediation order for each events to resolve their variations. Cameron’s bail was prolonged to March 28.
