The Kingston Western police have charged a 31-year-old girl with larceny as a servant after she was caught stealing cash from her office within the parish.
Accused is Kadian McKenzie of Seven Miles, Bull Bay in St Andrew.
Stories from the Denham City Police are that at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, a girl went to her workplace and checked off gross sales for the earlier week.
Throughout the checks, she found that one betting machine was wanting $227, 500.
The girl reportedly traced the lacking money to a machine operated by McKenzie and confronted her about it.
When requested concerning the lacking cash, McKenzie couldn’t present a passable account.
Therefore, a report was made to the police.
Probing by the police led to McKenzie’s arrest and later charged.
Her courtroom date is being finalised.
