After a promising debut on February 15, 2025, when he completed second by a size behind stablemate Simple Cash, Brahma Bull returned on Saturday, March 8, and delivered a successful efficiency in a Maiden Particular Weight contest for native-bred three-year-olds.
Skilled by Anthony “Baba” Nunes and ridden by Tevin Foster, Brahma Bull made a single, decisive transfer to take the lead and by no means seemed again, crossing the road a size and a half forward of I’m Excellent (Ismael Velasquez) and Althia (Phillip Parchment).
The 6-furlong (1,200m) contest was gained in a time of 1:16.2, with splits of 24.1 x 49.3 x 1:02.3.
When Brahma Bull exited his beginning stall he was hustled to the entrance by Foster seizing the benefit. Following on the heels of
Brahma Bull had been Althia (Phillip Parchment), Trendy Monarch (Romane Gordon), and I’m Excellent (Ismael Velasquez) as they approached the half-mile (800m) bend.
With each stride, Braham Bull prolonged his lead, with rivals struggling to maintain tempo. As he turned for house, Braham Bull cruised to the end line.
I’m Excellent launched a late bid to catch the chief, however Brahma Bull was not for the catching.
Brahma Bull is a three-year-old chestnut colt bred by Sunshine N Shadow out of the Authorized Course of mare Esperanza.
