The St Andrew South police seized a firearm and ammunition throughout an operation in Part One Seaview Gardens within the parish on Tuesday.
Experiences from the Hunts Bay police are that at about 12:30 p.m., lawmen had been within the space when a search of a premises was carried out.
A 9 millimetre Smith and Wesson pistol with {a magazine} containing 5 rounds of ammunition was seen hiding on the rooftop.
Nobody was taken into custody in relation to this seizure.
