A 36-year-old farmer has been charged by the St James police for allegedly fatally capturing 36-year-old Aswaine Thompson, in any other case known as ‘Swaine’, within the head at a celebration within the Hampton district within the parish.
Ryan Bernard, a farmer of Retirement Gutters in St James is charged with homicide and utilizing a firearm to commit a felony.
The Granville police report that about t 4:30 a.m. on March 8, Thompson, who can also be from the parish, and Bernard have been amongst patrons at a celebration in the neighborhood.
Bernard reportedly opened gunfire at Thompson as he sat in a automobile, hitting him within the head.
He then fled the scene.
Thompson was assisted to the hospital the place he was pronounced lifeless.
Investigations led to Bernard’s arrest at his house on Monday.
He was subsequently charged.
