A dominant show by Wall Avenue Dealer within the $1.25-million Ash Wednesday Trophy function race at Caymanas Park on Wednesday, March 5, 2025 left coach Rowan Mathie ecstatic.
The six-year-old American-bred darkish brown/bay gelding Wall Avenue Dealer effortlessly received the In a single day Allowance contest for three-year-olds and upward over six and a half furlongs (1,300m), crossing the wire 5 ½ lengths away from his rivals in a time of 1:18.4 (23.3 x 46.2 x 1:11.4).
Mathie, visibly thrilled with the end result, praised Wall Avenue Dealer’s efficiency, highlighting his ease in dispatching his rivals.
“I’m feeling nice about this win; it was very straightforward, as this was an In a single day Allowance race and he had been campaigning within the courses above,” Mathie instructed the Jamaica Observer’s The Supreme Racing Information.
With this victory, Wall Avenue Dealer continued to construct his fame as a noteworthy contender within the native racing scene. Mathie acknowledged that the gelding’s class drop had contributed to his easy win however emphasised that he can be returning to his common class for his subsequent outing.
“He goes up again in school now, and so we are going to take it in the future at a time. He will likely be out once more at month’s finish,” Mathie revealed, already trying ahead to Wall Avenue Dealer’s subsequent problem.
Ridden by Shane Richardson, Wall Avenue Dealer broke well from the gate, assuming second place behind Banadura (Robert Halledeen) early on. Nevertheless, approaching the five-furlong (1,000m) marker,
