    The Nationwide Works Company (NWA) is ramping up its effort to restore roadways throughout St James, by means of the Reduction Emergency Help and Neighborhood Assist (REACH) programme.

    Consequently, commuters might expertise some delays over the course of the following seven days, as a number of roadways are focused for enchancment. Neighborhood Relations Officer on the NWA’s Western Area, Janel Ricketts, stated that work can be undertaken alongside the Lengthy Hill and Queens Drive corridors this week. The work was scheduled to have began on Sunday. She added that throughout the course of the week, work can also be anticipated to be accomplished on the Montego Bay to Nice River primary street.

    Ricketts stated that so far, a number of roadways have been repaired beneath the REACH programme, which is aimed toward enhancing roadways which had been broken throughout the passage of Hurricane Beryl and subsequent rainfalls. The programme targets the worst affected sections of the focused roadways. Among the many roadways which have been improved are the stretch from Studying to Anchovy, the Somerton primary street, and roadways in and across the metropolis centre.
