    Shenseea wins MOBO for Best Caribbean Music Act

    Dancehall siren Shenseea has received her second MOBO award, being named Greatest Caribbean Music Act on the awards ceremony in the UK on Tuesday.

    The Puni Police singjay beat out fellow nominees Spice, Popcaan, YG Marley, Valiant and Skillibeng to take the prize.

    Dancehall kingpin Vybz Kartel acquired the Affect Award on the ceremony, which passed off in New Fort on the Utilita Enviornment.

    The MOBO (Music of Black Origin) Awards are an annual British music award presentation honoring achievements in ‘music of black origin’ together with hip,-hop, grime, UK Drill, R&B, soul, reggae, jazz, gospel and African music.

    Shenseea received the Greatest Reggae Act award on the 2021 staging of the MOBO. She created historical past changing into the primary feminine to win in that class, which was launched in 1996.

    The class was renamed Greatest Caribbean Music Act for the 2022 staging.

    The MOBO Awards had been based by Kanya King and Andy Ruffell.
