Watchman on wounding charge | News

Fifty-two-year-old Andrew Newell, in any other case known as ‘Dave,’ a watchman of Allside district, Trelawny, has been charged with wounding with intent following an incident in his neighborhood on Sunday.

Stories from the Wait-A-Bit police are that at 8 a.m., the complainant received into an argument with Newell over him constructing a wall on his land. The argument grew to become bodily, throughout which Newell used a machete to inflict a number of wounds to the complainant’s face, shoulder and again. The complainant was taken to the hospital for remedy.

Newell was subsequently arrested and charged and is awaiting a courtroom date.
